Church Picnic

We had a church picnic on the beach today. It was a nice gathering of church members from the English Speaking church here in Oman. There was a light mist the whole time we were there. Thank goodness there was a hut we could hang out under. The girls played on the swing sets and with all the other children while the babies and adults stayed under the hut playing music with their guitars and eating great Indian food!

Our pastor, Margaret. Margaret came to Oman with her husband (from the UK) 12 years ago as missionaries to lead the English speaking congregation. Three years ago, her husband was killed in an accident and she felt lead to stay and continue to carry on her husband's vision for the church. She has done an amazing job here and will be retiring this September.
